Welcome to Live and Loud, where I bring you along on my auditory and visual journeys as a local musician entrenched in the South Florida heavy rock and metal music scene. Everything penned here reflects my unabashed, personal opinions—whether it’s about friends, fellow bandmates, or local acts we all know. Remember, these reflections are rooted in my personal tastes and experiences. Ultimately, we all contribute uniquely to our scene. Consider this blog my personal sounding board, offering you a window into the life of someone who plays and interacts within our dankass local scene.

Happy Halloweenies guys! Tonight, was a weird night. We played first which is normal, and it was in my opinion, not good. However, everyone else thought otherwise. The sound guy was terrible. We played with Worldeater, Live Kill, and MRSA.

The place was pretty lively. It was a hard night for us, but it was ok overall. The smell of cheap ass beer mixed with sweat with costumes set the scene this evening to be quite hilarious. MRSA pretty intense. But I wonder what makes it so good that people gather to it. I guess its the look, and they play the spooky don’t give a shit attitude which I can see it. They have all kinds of merchandise. 6 shirts, koozies, and 3 kinds of stickers.

It’s fucked. They get all kinds of attention. I wouldn’t create this music but I can certainly appreciate it. So I suppose people like it for the costume gwar-type look. IMO.

The guitarist is having issues. Which means that his direct input isn’t doing so good. When we were playing Jaz’s DI(Direct Input) was really good, So I have no idea what the heck happened…

The sound guy is shit tho. However; MRSA, was good for the night but the sound was crappy. WorldEater was fine the sound again was out of wack but you can kind of hear the notes coming from the amps and the drummer Rexs’ blasts. Overall, the night was fine but that sound was a shit show. Time for another drink.
